Group ITZY has made its first Initial Chodong record.
According to the data from Hanteo Chart that services the world’s one-and-only real-time music chart, ITZY’s 1st Mini Album ‘IT’z ICY’ (title track ‘ICY’) made the Initial Chodong sales record - the sales during the first week of the release - of 32,416 copies since its release on July 29th.
ITZY made a brilliant debut last February with the digital single ‘IT’z Different’ (title track ‘DALLA DALLA’) and came back with a mini album after 5 months. Since the first album was a digital single, the latest ‘IT’z ICY’ album is ITZY’s first physical album, leaving the first Initial Chodong sales record.
Hanteo Chart announced that ITZY’s ‘IT’z ICY’ album took 8th place among all the albums released from a girl group on 2019. ITZY also ranked its name on the 4th place of Hanteo Chart’s Weekly Physical Album Chart of 1st week of August with the album sales last week.
Considering that it is their first album, ITZY’s selling 32,416 copies of the album during last week is a fairly positive result. K-Pop fans are turning their focus to the future activities of ITZY as the group’s physical album sales and Initial Chodong record stand out.
