#2. The most viewed artist is X1
After summing up the number of views of all the articles released in the past year by artists, the articles related to X1 have recorded the most views among the articles published in Korean, English, and Spanish in Hanteo News.
A project group formed through Mnet's 'Produce X 101' on August 27th last year, group X1 released the mini album 'QUANTUM LEAP' (title track 'FLASH') on the same day, August 27th of 2019. At the time, Hanteo Chart had announced that this album of X1 reached the Initial Chodong sales amount of 524,007 copies, becoming the first debut album that surpassed the Initial Chodong sales amount of 500,000 copies. To this, X1 members also celebrated and thanked the fans through Hanteo News' video on achieving 'half-million.'
However, as the suspicion on manipulation arose on 'Produce X 101,' X1 decided on the official disbandment on January 6th. To the sudden news of disbandment, X1's global fandom ONE IT had started a campaign supporting the formation of a new group of X1. In order to support the campaign, the fandom also placed a media ad on COEX located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and ranked 1st in the real-time trend on social media, garnering public attention.
With such interest, the Korean article on X1's fandom ONE IT calling on the formation of a new group (Article title '엑스원(X1)의 팬덤 원잇(ONE IT), 엑스원 새그룹 결성 지지 캠페인 펼쳐' - English version is also available here) recorded the most views among all the X1-related articles on Hanteo News.
Besides the article above, among the articles on X1, the English article on X1 placing 1st on Monthly Global Authentication Chart of September of 2019 (Article title '[Monthly Global Authentication Chart: September] X1’s 1st Mini Album ‘QUANTUM LEAP’ Places 1st') and the English photo news article that was released celebrating X1's reaching the Initial Chodong sales amount of half million (Article title '[Photo] “Celebrating the first debut album to reach half-million!” Mass Release of X1 ShowCon Photos') were ranked in 2nd and 3rd in terms of the number of views, respectively.
There were different patterns in different languages (Korean, English, and Spanish) shown in the articles.
Among the Korean articles, the article on Kang Daniel recorded the highest views, followed by the articles on X1, BTS, IZ*ONE, and EXO. Among the English articles, X1 was 1st, EXO 2nd, SEVENTEEN 3rd, Kang Daniel 4th, and ATEEZ 5th. Among Spanish articles, the articles on EXO had the most views.
