As an artist representing K-Pop, group GWSN became the second artist to feature in the promotion video of ‘2019 ASEAN-Republic of KOREA Commemorative Summit’ and ‘The 1st Mekong-Republic of KOREA Summit,’ both of which are hosted by Ministry Of Foreign Affairs.
2019 ASEAN-Republic of KOREA Commemorative Summit and The 1st Mekong-Republic of KOREA Summit will be held in Busan from November 25th to the 27th. The ASEAN-Republic of KOREA Commemorative Summit is a forum of conversation where the heads of Korea and 10 ASEAN countries will suggest new visions of improving the relationships between Korea and ASEAN countries moving forward. This year’s Summit bears more special meaning as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Korea-ASEAN diplomatic relations.
Especially, the ‘ASEAN-ROK Culture Innovation Summit’ will be held on the 25th and famous personalities from the art and culture industry will join as speakers. The speakers include Bang Si Hyuk, CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, Reed Hastings, founder and CEO of Netflix, and Pierre Coffin, the director of the animation movie, ‘Minions.’
As the culture and art of Korea and ASEAN countries are emerging as the main keywords of diplomacy, the promotional video for the Summit also stars the artists who represent K-Pop as the leaders of the cultural diplomacy.
The third artist to join the promotion is GWSN. Beginning with the filming of the promotion video, GWSN will generate the interest of domestic and international fans and support the successful hosting of the Summit.
GWSN released the 3rd Mini Album 'THE PARK IN THE NIGHT part three' on July 23rd and had passionately promoted with the title track, 'RED-SUN.' The group was also selected and promoted as the official honorary ambassador of 'The 10th Republic of Korea Nanum Festival,' continuing on their journey as an artist representing K-Pop.
