[K-Trend Report] K-Pop Comeback, the Trend is Reunions✨

In recent times, there has been a continual stream of news about the reunions of K-pop idols who heated up the 2000s and 2010s. The anticipation of seeing favorite artists perform again has elicited a passionate response from many fans. This enthusiastic response has not only come from existing fans but also from new fans, creating a larger impact through the synergy between the two groups.

In this edition of the K-Trend Report, we delve into the K-pop legends who have returned to the fans' side through reunions.
 

🎁2NE1

On October 4th, 2NE1 made a surprise appearance in front of fans at their solo concert ‘WELCOME BACK IN SEOUL’. 2NE1 conducted a world tour in nine cities in addition to their Seoul solo concert. The Seoul solo concert saw a rush of 400,000 ticket reservations, garnering hot interest from domestic fans, and every release of tickets for the world tour was consistently sold out.

Member Sandara Park described the Seoul solo concert atmosphere as "like a 4,000-seat club" during her appearance on tvN's variety show ‘You Quiz on the Block’, also mentioning memorable fans and labeling the reunion as ‘healing’.

2NE1 is spending the best times communicating closely with fans through their reunion. Encouraged by the fervent support of fans, 2NE1 has confirmed an encore concert in Seoul this April.

🎁GFRIEND

GFRIEND has also raised fans' expectations with their reunion after four years. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, GFRIEND released a special album as a gift to their fans. On October 6th, they pre-released ‘Season of Memories’ and showcased it on music broadcast stages for a week, gifting fans with memories.

‘Season of Memories’ perfectly encapsulates GFRIEND’s unique musical color with its uplifting melody, dynamic progression, and beautiful, poetic lyrics. The music video, released on October 13th, containing memories of GFRIEND and their fandom ‘Buddy’ from 2015 to 2021, became a hot topic.

Fittingly for their 10th anniversary special album, GFRIEND has prepared various events for fans, including album releases, music broadcasts, and even a solo concert, which continues to attract endless attention.

🎁LOVELYZ

LOVELYZ returned to fans by holding a concert ‘Winter Wonderland with LOVELYZ 4’ at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from November 16th to 17th. LOVELYZ has also planned tours in Macau and Taiwan following the domestic concert.

Before the concert, LOVELYZ released the digital single ‘If You Touch Me’ to excite fans waiting for the concert, and also released an unreleased new song ‘Dear’ at the concert. The beautiful sincerity of LOVELYZ towards their fans and the emotional music capturing the concert's atmosphere were enough to continue the concert's heat.

LOVELYZ plans to meet fans in Seoul, Macau, Taiwan, and continue their tour in Tokyo, hoping to keep encountering their fandom LOVELINUS in the winter wonderland.

🎁Baby V.O.X

The most talked-about reunion among the first-generation girl groups, Baby V.O.X, made a surprising reunion. On December 20th, at the KBS Music Festival, Baby V.O.X filled the stage with ‘Get Up’ and ‘Coincidence (Sad Coincidence)’.

After 14 years, Baby V.O.X showcased a perfect visual and skill that were no different from their active years, earning a hot response. Baby V.O.X entered intense practice until 4 AM before taking the stage at the music festival, resulting in a nearly perfect performance that significantly heated the atmosphere.

Though it was a brief time, their performance provided unforgettable memories for long-time fans and fresh content for new fans.
