"32ND HMA 2024"... Both Internally and Externally Perfect, Truly a Fundamental Awards Ceremony

A grand festival for K-pop, "The 32nd Annual Hanteo Music Awards 2024 (32ND HMA 2024)," has wrapped up its first day.

On the 15th, at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung District, Seoul, Hanteo Global, the operator of the world's only real-time music chart, Hanteo Chart, hosted the first day's ceremony of "32ND HMA 2024."

The event featured MCs Jinyoung and Miyeon, along with appearances by Jaejoong, NOWADAYS, Minnie, SAY MY NAME, ARTMS, Yeonjun, Lee Mujin, EPEX, Insooni, TXT, and tripleS, along with presenters Kahee, Kwon Inha, Kim Johan, Nicole, Brian, Andy, Yoon Sang, Jung Sunah, and Hwanhee, who all came together to culminate and celebrate the year 2024 with awards and recognition.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER shone brightly in the awards segment. They clinched four titles, including 'Artist of the Year,' 'Global Artist in North America,' 'Top Touring Artist,' and the highest honor of "32ND HMA 2024" 'Grand Prize - Best Performance.'

Additionally, Yeonjun, a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, won 'Global Artist in Oceania' as a solo artist, bringing his total for the day to five trophies.

Especially significant was TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Grand Prize win and Yeonjun's receipt of a trophy as a solo artist, marking a first for both.

(G)I-DLE also had a standout night, securing 'Artist of the Year' and 'Global Generation Icon,' with Minnie also winning 'The Most Prime Solo,' totaling three trophies for the group.

In the performance segment, TOMORROW X TOGETHER continued to impress. Yeonjun kicked off Part 2 with "GGUM," showcasing what a world-class performance looks like, and the five-member comeback performances of "Deja Vu" and "Over The Moon" proved why they were worthy of their Grand Prize and total of four awards.

The stage was not just impressive for them. Audiences and fellow artists were captivated by Lee Mujin's perfect live and stage control during "Youth Comic," and Minnie's visually overwhelming performances of "Her" and "Cherry Sky" were highlights of the "32ND HMA 2024."

Additionally, SAYMYNAME's tearful acceptance speech for their debut award, and the performances by newcomer groups like ARTMS, EPEX, NOWADAYS, and tripleS, drew significant applause and cheers from the audience.

Among the most eye-catching was the legendary collaboration between Insooni and Jaejoong. Starting with Jaejoong leading into "Dream of Goose," which Insooni continued a cappella, their explosive vocal duet became the most dramatic and touching moment of the first day of "32ND HMA 2024."

The exceptional camera work, described as 'the best ever,' captivated both the on-site and at-home audiences.

Thus, internally and externally, "32ND HMA 2024" created a perfect moment worthy of the word. The ceremony will continue on the 16th at the same venue, with appearances by RIIZE, LIGHTSUM, 8TURN, NCT WISH, Yeongtak, YOUNG POSSE, EVNNE, Lee Seungyoon, Choi Yena, Heo Youngbyul (Heo Gak, Shin Yongjae, Im Hanbyul), and presenters Kim Yongjun, Kim Hoyoung, Muzie, Soyou, Lee Heejin, Insooni, Jang Woo Hyuk, JeA, Hwangbo, continuing the legacy of a ceremony that connects through music.

On the 16th, the red carpet ceremony will be available at 5 PM, followed by the main performances at 7 PM, broadcasted by Mnet, Tving (domestic streaming), and VIKC (global streaming).
