Group TREASURE unveiled the first teaser for their new album.

 

On the 7th, YG ENTERTAINMENT posted ‘TREASURE - 4th MINI ALBUM [NEW WAV] TRAILER’ on its official blog. The agency once again confirmed the release of TREASURE’s 4th mini album on June 1, while announcing the start of full-scale promotions through a video showing the members’ comeback preparation process.

 

The trailer captures the days the members have spent tirelessly working to improve the album’s quality, including choreography practice and repeated recording sessions. Lines such as “YG’s roots are hip-hop,” “It makes us approach it with more sincerity,” and “Truly limitless” appear throughout, heightening viewers’ anticipation.

 

Toward the latter half, the album title ‘NEW WAV’ was revealed, drawing attention. It appears to carry a double meaning, combining ‘NEW WAVE,’ which signifies a new flow, and ‘WAV,’ a lossless audio format. This suggests TREASURE’s firm determination to open their second chapter through their raw, original colors, while also pursuing a new musical direction.

 

YG stated, “‘NEW WAV’ is an album that expresses TREASURE’s diverse sides through the hip-hop genre,” adding, “You will be able to see their musical world more clearly than ever.” The agency continued, “Please look forward to TREASURE, who will approach fans with even bolder and more intense charm, and to their new chapter.”

 

Meanwhile, pre-orders for TREASURE’s 4th mini album ‘NEW WAV’ began today (7th) at 11 AM. Pre-orders will run until May 31, the day before the album’s release, and the album will be available in two versions: photobook and digipack.

 

Attention is focused on what kind of records TREASURE will set with this album, after achieving their first million-seller since debut with their 3rd mini album ‘LOVE PULSE’ last September, which recorded 1.13 million initial chodong sales (sales in the first week immediately after release).
