YERIN, a member of girl group GFRIEND, drew attention by saying, “The members complimented the song, saying it was good.”

 

YERIN held a showcase at Hongdae Rolling Hall in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 9th to commemorate the release of her 4th solo mini album 'REACH YOU' and officially announced her comeback.

 

On this day, YERIN said, “I still feel very scared and awkward when I am alone on stage,” adding, “But now, when my song comes out, I feel proud because I think I can show myself well.”

 

When asked about the reactions of the GFRIEND members, she said, “I introduced the song by saying that it goes well with this weather, and I was happy because all the members said it was good,” drawing laughter as she added, “They only said it was good, and there was nothing that was especially memorable.”

 

YERIN then shared her hope, saying, “I hope many people first recognize that ‘YERIN is a singer,’” adding, “I hope people know that YERIN is also someone who is very good at live singing.”

 

'REACH YOU' is an album that captures a new journey that begins from the moment of waking up from a dream. It contains a total of five tracks, including the title track 'Piece Star,' as well as 'Polaris,' 'Spring Fever,' 'Orbit,' and the instrumental version of 'Piece Star.'

 

This album is YERIN’s first new release in about nine months since her digital single 'Awake,' released in September last year. YERIN debuted as a member of GFRIEND in 2015 and began her solo activities in 2022. With songs such as 'ARIA,' 'Bambambam,' and 'Wavy,' she has received love from fans by showing her own musical color, distinct from her group activities.

 

'Piece Star' is a song that depicts the moment of recalling a dream under the night sky encountered in the midst of fast-flowing daily life. YERIN’s plainspoken vocals are said to naturally blend with the emotional band sound. The song calmly conveys glittering starlight that seems about to pour down, a small certainty that blooms within it, and a wish toward someone one wants to reach.
