TWICE Successfully Finished 2 Times of Solo Performance in North American Stadium…The first time for a K-pop girl group

TWICE performed two encores at the North American Stadium for the first time for a K-pop girl group.

 

TWICE performed its 4th world tour ‘TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR 'III” encore concert at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on the 14th and 15th (local time).

 

The event was created in response to the strong support shown by worldwide fans during the 7-times tour of the Americas, which began on February 15 in Los Angeles and will visit five cities, including Oakland, Fort Worth, Atlanta, and New York. Originally intended to take place only once on May 14, the tickets sold out rapidly, adding to the performance on the 15th, which likewise sold out quickly as soon as bookings were started.

 

As a consequence, TWICE, who sold out 9 performances in five U.S. locations, including two encore concerts, drew around 150,000 viewers in the United States alone, owing to its significant audience mobilization. They played international hits like 'CHEER UP' and 'TT' and other songs from past albums in the encore segment, where people flip the roulette to select a song to sing, rising to the height of the performance frenzy.

 

The event was held in a cheerful atmosphere, with the clear and sunny weather that is typical of Los Angeles and the beautiful harmony of the outdoor stadium. The crowd assembled at the scene clapped and congratulated the nine members' impressive performance, and fans appreciated the show by singing along with the Korean lyrics.  The sight of over 22,000 people singing 'MOONLIGHT' from their 3rd Studio Album beneath the enormous full moon produced a beautiful view and a magical experience that can only be felt in outdoor concerts. Furthermore, in the last stage 'Dance The Night Away,' dazzling fireworks adorned the night sky, signaling the end of the amazing tour in America.

 

TWICE remarked when they finished their 2-day encore performance, "We never imagined we'd be back in Los Angeles this soon, but we made it happen. It was TWICE's first outdoor performance, and I believe it will be remembered fondly.  Thank you," they expressed gratitude.

 

“I had a really happy time with all of you,” remarked member Dahyun. “Life provides us with sorrow, joy, and memories. Tears and laughter fade, but memories last forever. Even after a long period, today's good memories will shine brilliantly like diamonds in our hearts. I love you all,” she added, and the audience roared loudly and sang a birthday song to Dahyun, who was set to celebrate her birthday, which touched her.

 

Furthermore, the hashtags 'TWICEINLA' and 'TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR' were placed 1st and 2nd in the 2-day real-time trend of Twitter in Los Angeles, demonstrating the tremendous local buzz.

 

Meanwhile, TWICE debuted its new global tour in Seoul on December 25th and 26th of last year, establishing itself as a 'K-pop representative girl group.'
