Group Stray Kids topped the Oricon Chart with Japan 2nd Mini Album.

 

Stray Kids’ 2nd Mini Album ‘CIRCUS,’ officially released in Japan on June 22nd, recorded 97,084 points and topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart on June 21st.

 

The new album ‘CIRCUS’ has a total of 6 Japanese tracks including the title track having the same name as the album, ‘Fairytale,’ and ‘Your Eyes,’ which are the new songs, as well as the title track of ‘ODDINARY,’ ‘MANIAC,’ which is the song that topped the U.S. Billboard’s main chart ‘Billboard 200,’ and its B-side track ‘VENOM,’ then Japanese version of ‘Silent Cry,’ which is the B-side track of their 2nd Studio Album ‘NOEASY.’ The title track ‘CIRCUS’ was written and composed by 3RACHA, a producing team in the group consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, enhancing their musical appeal.

 

JYP Entertainment pre-released the Japanese version of ‘MANIAC’ on the 18th of last month before the release of Stray Kids’ new album in Japan, then it topped the Japanese Line Music Real-Time Song Top 100 chart and Line Music K-pop chart as well as topped the iTunes Song Chart in 12 regions overseas in the morning of the next day. The B-side track ‘Your Eyes’ also topped the Japanese Line Music Daily Song Top 100 chart on June 3rd for five consecutive days until June 7th after the pre-release and also topped the Weekly Song Top 100 chart signaling their popularity.

 

Recently, Stray Kids attracted attention by successfully holding a concert in Japan as part of their 2nd world tour ‘Stray Kids 2nd World Tour “MANIAC”.’ Following the performance in Kobe from June 11th to 12th, and the performance in Tokyo from June 18th to 19th, they will hold a performance again in Tokyo from July 26th to July 27th, they are holding a total of six performances, all of which were sold out in five minutes after the opening of general reservations, confirming the enthusiastic support of local fans.

 

Furthermore, on June 22nd, the ‘MANIAC’ music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, giving Stray Kids a total of six music videos with millions of views and recorded having the most number of music videos of million of views among the ‘4th generation of K-pop male groups.’

 

Meanwhile, Stray Kids’ world tour is held in 11 cities total of 21 performances, which are from April 29th to May 1st in Seoul, June 11th to 12th in Kobe, Japan, June 18th to 19th in Tokyo, 28th to 29th (local time) in Newark, July 1st in Chicago, 3rd in Atlanta, 6th in Fort Worth, 9th to 10th in Los Angeles, 12 in Oakland, 14th to 15th in Seattle, 19th to 20th in Anaheim, and 26th to 27th in Tokyo.
