The group THE BOYZ will present 'THE BOYZ's' refreshing·sexy·fantasy this summer.

 

THE BOYZ starts their official comeback activity by releasing their 7th Mini Album ‘BE AWARE,’ which includes the title track ‘WHISPER,’ through various online music sites at 6 PM on August 16th.

 

The story from THE BOYZ’s 7th Mini Album ‘BE AWARE’ talks about the waves of emotions that flow as the boys encounter forbidden love. Along with the involvement of well-known global producers such as Willie Weeks and Kyler Niko, several of the members contribute to the songwriting for ‘every song,’ demonstrating a broader musical range. Furthermore, they will once again captivate K-pop fans with music and performances with the same ‘boy’ color as THE BOYZ’s identity.

 

The new song ‘WHISPER’ is a track that expresses the moment when dopamine blooms, fascinated by the thrilling whisper, and the listeners can feel THE BOYZ’s unique energetic mood. In addition to the title track, the new album is expected to unveil tracks of various genres such as ‘Bump & Love,’ ‘C.O.D.E,’ ‘Levitating,’ ‘Survive The Night,’ and ‘Timeless.’

 

THE BOYZ, who achieved ‘half-million-seller’ Initial Chodong sales with their 6th Mini Album ‘THRILL-ING’ last year, has been breaking the team's greatest record by sweeping the top place on music programs with their 3rd Single ‘MAVERICK’ released in succession. Furthermore, they are demonstrating their incredible growth by mobilizing a total of 24,000 audiences at their first world tour, ‘THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR: THE B-ZONE’ Seoul encore concert at KSPO DOME from August 5th to 7th.

 

THE BOYZ, who have consistently broken the records this year, are set to continue their relentless run in the second half of the year with the release of their new Mini Album ‘BE AWARE’ in the summer of 2022. As it is a new album that will be released after the end of the world tour, THE BOYZ members unveiled their new album ‘BE AWARE’ through a question and answer session about the activity, which is gaining more attention from worldwide fans than ever before.

 

 

Q. It is the first comeback in nine months. Can you please tell us how you feel now that you've been back after a while?

 

Sangyeon : I’m fluttered and excited since we’ve successfully finished the long journey and the Seoul encore concert of our first world tour, ‘THE B-ZONE,’ and we're making a comeback in about 9 months after ‘MAVERICK.’ It’s been a while since we're releasing an album, and I’m so excited to see our The B (fandom name) in person and communicate with you all. I hope you like this album a lot.

 

Q. It heralded the transformation of THE BOYZ, who has been further upgraded through various teasing contents such as 2022 trailers and concept photos. What side of THE BOYZ did you want to show us through this album?

 

Jacob : From the trailer video to the album, where you can check out the overall concept of THE BOYZ’s year 2022 concept, we tried to show you various sides and development of us for The B who waited for a long time. Through this album and the title track ‘WHISPER,’ I once again want to remind you of what THE BOYZ’s refreshing·sexy·fantasy is.

 

Q. Can you introduce what kind of album the 7th Mini Album ‘BE AWARE’ is?

 

Younghoon : I believe it is an album on which you can explore various aspects of THE BOYZ. We worked really hard on each song, so please show us a lot of attention and love. Our members also contributed significantly to this album. Also, please listen to ‘Timeless,’ because it’s a song THE BOYZ wrote only for THE B.

 

Q. What kind of song is the title track ‘WHISPER’? And what’s the charm and point for focus?

 

Hyunjae : THE BOYZ’s special energy can be felt on the title track ‘WHISPER.’ It has unique storytelling that captures the time when dopamine blooms as a result of the thrilling whisper, and because the lyrics reflect the moment so well, I believe it’ll be great to focus on it and enjoy it together. Also, I think it's an even more unique song since it has both a refreshing and sexy performance and charm.

 

Q. What’s the “killing part” and the point choreography of the new song ‘WHISPER’?

 

Juyeon : Since the song’s title is ‘WHISPER,’ there are two choreography points that appear to be whispering in the ear and listening to someone’s whisper. Personally, I believe Q’s part in Verse 1 is the killing part. Please look forward to our performance on how we’re going to appear.

 

Q. You decorated the finale of the first world tour ‘THE B-ZONE,’ which lasted about 3 months, in the ‘KSPO DOME’ from August 5th to 7th. Since it was the site where you met your fans after a long time, you must have been filled with emotions, what was the most memorable moment?

 

Kevin : I was very surprised by the enthusiastic response to the Seoul encore concert. We also haven’t met our fans for a long time, but since it was also a site where there were lots of people who were their first time seeing THE BOYZ, the excitement must've been the same both for our fans and members. I was touched when I heard the audience sing along with Korean lyrics overseas. In Seoul, they sent endless cheers and energy. I will never forget the encore ‘Giddy Up’ performance I enjoyed. It was a fun 3-month tour, I learned a lot, and I hope there will be more days to sing together. Thanks to a lot of support, we were able to finish the tour well, so I feel half relieved and half regretful.

 

Q. You pre-released ‘Timeless,’ which is a B-side track and fan song, on the concert stage before the release of the new album. How do you feel about participating in the songwriting, and how satisfied are you with the results?

 

New : I believe we produced a good song since we wrote it with our fans in mind. Perhaps this is why I’m so pleased with this song. We’ve written everything we wanted to say to The B, so I hope you listen to it and feel it with us.

 

Q. Many of the members contributed to the ‘songwriting of all songs’ on this album. What was the most memorable episode while working on the song?

 

Sunwoo : While working on this album, I believe I wrote most of the songs with our fans in mind. Among the new songs, ‘Survive The Night’ was written with the emotion of not seeing our fans often in the aftermath of COVID-19. Even though I had to work on my busy schedule, I found it easy to work since I expressed my thoughts to the fans.

 

Q. Is there an accomplishment you want to achieve through this album’s activity?

 

Q : I think I will be the happiest if The B is content, and I believe that’s the best result. To think about another goal, I hope that THE BOYZ and THE B will be able to celebrate and feel the excitement of winning first place in a music show together.
