Group NewJeans has been crowned the top K-pop girl group on Spotify.

 

According to Spotify's year-end summary released on December 5, 2024, NewJeans (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) ranked fifth globally among the most streamed K-pop artists. This is the highest ranking among K-pop girl groups listed. NewJeans also ranked fourth in South Korea, the highest among K-pop girl groups.

 

This year, NewJeans released a double single 'How Sweet' and their debut single in Japan 'Supernatural', making prominent appearances on both domestic and international charts. Particularly, they showed strong stamina by reversing or consistently maintaining high rankings with their previously released songs.

 

To date, NewJeans has produced a total of 14 Spotify tracks with over a hundred million streams each, and the cumulative streaming count for all their songs on Spotify now exceeds 5.5 billion.

 

Besides Spotify, NewJeans also ranked highest among foreign artists on the Billboard Japan 2024 annual chart (survey period: November 27, 2023, to November 24, 2024), placing 13th.

 

On the comprehensive song chart 'Hot 100', 'Ditto' and 'OMG' ranked 61st and 77th, respectively. NewJeans is the only foreign artist to have two songs on this chart.

 

Moreover, NewJeans' songs and albums have demonstrated their strength across various charts, including 'Streaming Song', 'Download Song', and 'Download Album'.
