TWICE unit MISAMO has unveiled the highlight medley video for their first full-length Japanese album, drawing attention with a wide range of captivating elements.

 

TWICE unit group MISAMO will release their Japan Full-Length 1st Album ‘PLAY’ on February 4. Following the pre-release of the title track ‘Confetti’ audio and music video on the 16th, they presented the album highlight medley video through their official SNS channels at midnight on the 26th.

 

The video begins with a surprise appearance by actor SATO TAKERU and kicks off an audition to determine the true owner of the throne. MINA performs her solo track ‘Turning Tables,’ portraying an independent figure who chooses what she wants without hesitation. SANA presents ‘Ma Cherry,’ depicting “a presence that anyone would admire at least once,” combining softness with inner strength. MOMO delivers ‘Kitty,’ capturing her own unique shine even amid confusion. After the stage ends, just before the results are announced, MINA, SANA, and MOMO stand up against the judges who attempt to impose a punishment, ultimately triumphing and concluding the story with all of them wearing crowns. In addition to the three solo tracks among the 12 songs included on the album, ‘Deep Eden,’ ‘Hmm,’ and ‘Not a Goodbye’ are inserted like background music, leaving the impression of having watched a splendid theatrical performance.

 

This highlight medley video further heightened viewer interest with famous actor SATO TAKERU making a special appearance as the audition host. As the content centers around a theatrical theme in line with the full-length album title, it began from the members’ wish that it would be even better if they could collaborate with an actor, and SATO TAKERU, who enjoys strong popularity in both Korea and Japan, accepted the proposal, leading to the collaboration.
