[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] i-dle MINNIE shared her ambition for the Lollapalooza stage.

i-dle held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall on the 6th to commemorate the release of its 9th mini album 'We made.' On this day, MINNIE said, “We are planning to make Lollapalooza powerful and cool, so we will definitely tear up the stage.”

Regarding the group’s appearance at the world-renowned music festival Lollapalooza, MINNIE said, “I am so happy and honored just to be able to participate in such a big and famous festival,” adding, “As much as we have received good energy and so much support, we will take strength from that and make it powerful and cool.” When she confidently said, “We will definitely tear up the stage,” SOYEON added, “We are working hard to tear it up,” drawing laughter.

Regarding their world tour, YUQI said, “As a singer, I think being able to go on a world tour itself is something to be proud of and something difficult to achieve,” adding, “We performed at Taipei Dome and also held our first stadium concert in Hong Kong, and so many fans came that it did not feel real. I felt so proud and so grateful, thinking, ‘Thanks to our fans, we can fill such big venues. We have become really cool singers.’” She continued, “Even though there were people who could not speak Korean, they kept singing along in Korean and sang all of our songs together. Hearing that moved me so much, and I thought, ‘It really is rewarding to work hard on music. I should work even harder.’” SHUHUA said, “I am grateful to have received so much love through this tour, and we will continue to work harder and show many new sides of ourselves, so please look forward to it.”

Regarding their next goal, SOYEON said, “Whenever I made music, I always thought about the next step, like how we had to go higher and do better. But now that this year has come, I found myself wanting to focus on the music of each moment,” adding, “I think our next step is releasing this album and then working hard to prepare the next one.” YUQI said, “Since i-dle has continued making self-produced songs since debut, I hope we can keep doing music without losing the message of continuing to make the music we want to make and without losing our original mindset,” adding cheerfully, “This moment is the youngest moment of our lives, so cherish it.”

i-dle, which debuted in May 2018, has solidified its position as a global top-tier girl group with its unrivaled musical world and powerful performances. After winning Bonsang at the Hanteo Music Awards for three consecutive years from 2022, the group proved its musical influence by winning the Grand Prize in the digital music category at the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024 with 'Fate.' From its 6th mini album 'I feel' to last year’s 8th mini album 'We are,' i-dle also proved the overwhelming strength of its fandom by recording four consecutive initial chodong million-sellers.

The 9th mini album 'We made' is a new release arriving six months after the digital single 'Mono (Feat. skaiwater),' and contains an even stronger pop appeal than before. It includes a total of six tracks, including the title track 'Gimme Dat Love,' with members SOYEON and YUQI listed in the credits.

i-dle’s 9th mini album 'We made' will be released through various online music sites at 6 PM on this day. Attention is focused on what kind of new summer i-dle, which has continued its streak of four consecutive initial chodong million-sellers, will create with this album.
