[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] LUN8 revealed the behind-the-scenes story of how it came to hold a free fan concert.

 

Ahead of its comeback, LUN8 met with Hanteo News at Whosfan Studio in Seoul and talked about its 4th mini album 'Off the Grid.' On this day, CHAEL said, “LUV8, the fandom name, had been wanting a concert for a long time,” adding, “Since the time has finally come for us to be able to hold a concert, I thought we should make it free as a way to repay them for the time they waited for us, so I suggested it to the company first.”

 

Expectations for the fan concert and Europe tour were also high. JUNWOO drew laughter by saying, “I really like spraying water, and if I sprayed one bottle last time, I will try spraying three bottles this time.” IAN said, “Since we are making a comeback, the playlist for the fan concert or tour may change a bit,” drawing surprised reactions from the members. JUNWOO helped him out by saying, “Even their surprised reactions were part of the completion,” adding, “It makes the spoiler feel even bigger.”

 

The members also shared plenty of everyday episodes. The members who talk the most in the group chat are CHAEL and JINSU. CHAEL said, “The two of us talk a lot,” while JINSU shared, “The two of us talk so much that JUNWOO sometimes turns off his notifications.” JUNWOO explained, “I am honestly the type who prefers not to contact people unless there is something specific to discuss.” CHAEL added, “So sometimes he does not even know the schedule well and asks where we are going today,” drawing laughter.

 

They also revealed how the members resolve hurt feelings among themselves. JUNWOO said, “Rather than fights, I think there are moments when we feel a little hurt,” adding, “If we feel hurt, we are the type to say it right away instead of keeping it inside.” He chose IAN as the member whose hurt feelings are the easiest to notice. JUNWOO explained, “When we are practicing and I ask, ‘Are you upset about something?’ he says, ‘I’m not upset,’ but we tend to resolve things a lot through conversation.” As for something he felt upset about recently, he shared, “When IAN practices, he has such a blank expression. Since the atmosphere is important, I hope he smiles, so sometimes I ask if he is angry.”

 

They also shared dorm roommate episodes. In LUN8, JUNWOO and JINSU, CHAEL and YUMA, and TAKUMA and IAN share rooms. CHAEL said, “Because it is summer, there are a lot of mosquitoes, and at some point I saw that YUMA hyung was sleeping alone inside a mosquito tent,” adding, “All the mosquitoes came to me and bit me. I did not even know he had put up a tent, but when I wondered why there were so many mosquitoes and looked up, there was this huge tent,” drawing laughter. He continued, “The good thing about having YUMA hyung as a roommate is that he is very quiet.”

 

JINSU said, “JUNWOO has a clear mindset of keeping his own space clean, so we almost never live in a messy room,” but added, “If he goes in to wash up and forgets to bring a towel, he opens the door and suddenly calls me, and I quickly bring it to him while trembling.” JUNWOO drew laughter by saying, “Because I do not think he would just bring me a towel otherwise, I always hold hyung’s toothbrush and say, ‘If you don’t bring me a towel right now, I don’t know what I’ll do to this toothbrush.’” TAKUMA revealed, “IAN gets hot very easily,” adding, “He took his mattress and mosquito tent alone to the living room in front of the air conditioner and slept inside the tent, and the sight was so funny.”

 

LUN8’s 4th mini album 'Off the Grid' will be released through various music sites today at 6 PM. LUN8, which says it will break away from set frameworks and freely draw its own path, is now standing at the starting line with its sneaker laces tied tightly. Attention is focused on what speed and direction they will run toward from here.
