ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, NI-KI) will release their 6th mini album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ tomorrow (the 5th) at 1 PM KST. According to their agency BELIFT LAB, the album’s pre-orders exceeded 2.18 million copies (aggregated by each distributor) as of the 4th. With this, ENHYPEN is signaling the achievement of their third ‘Double Million-Seller,’ following their 5th mini album ‘ORANGE BLOOD’ and 2nd full-length album ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD.’

 

Having sold over 5.45 million albums in just the past year, and topping the K-POP artist rankings on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’s ‘2024 Global Album Sales Chart’ and ‘2024 Global Album Chart,’ expectations are high to see whether they will once again prove their status as an ‘album powerhouse’ this year.

The 6th mini album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ is an album that expresses the desire felt for a loved one through ENHYPEN’s unique emotions. While the previous ‘ROMANCE’ series portrayed pure-hearted love, this time they present a deeper and more dangerous, fatal dark romance, unable to suppress the hidden desire within that love.

 

The title track ‘With or Without You’ is a dance pop song that depicts the dominating desire of “wanting to turn you into a vampire” in a chic mood. Cirkut, who previously produced ENHYPEN’s hit songs ‘Bite Me’ and ‘Brought The Heat Back,’ once again joined forces to foretell the birth of another masterpiece.

 

The beats and melodies revealed through album previews and music video teasers have already captivated listeners with their catchy and addictive sound. ENHYPEN’s emotional and powerful vocals further enhance their sophisticated and sexy aura. The delicate yet intense choreography briefly revealed in the challenge performance video also captured the attention of global K-POP fans.

In addition to the title track ‘With or Without You,’ the album features tracks such as ‘Flashover’ (electronic future bass), ‘Outside’ (hip-hop trap), ‘Loose’ (easy-listening medium pop), ‘Helium’ (pop rock), and ‘Too Close’ (pop), each with distinct personalities that create explosive synergy when brought together in one album. Notably, the fifth track ‘Helium’ was co-produced, written, and guitar-played by member Jay, showcasing his musical talent.
