BABYMONSTER has officially launched their global domination, claiming their first-ever No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Chart with their second mini album [WE GO UP].

According to YG Entertainment on the 13th, [WE GO UP] topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart on October 11, the album’s Japan release date.

This marks BABYMONSTER’s first No. 1 entry on Oricon, Japan’s most authoritative and widely recognized music chart, proving the group’s explosive popularity as they instantly captured the hearts of local fans.

The album features four new tracks that showcase BABYMONSTER’s distinct identity and energy across a range of genres, the powerful hip-hop title track “WE GO UP,” the addictive and melodic “PSYCHO,” the R&B-hip-hop fusion “SUPA DUPA LUV,” and the upbeat country pop dance song “WILD.” Together, these songs highlight the group’s expanded musical spectrum and evolving artistry.

The title track “WE GO UP” embodies the group’s ambition to rise to greater heights. With its punchy brass lines, confident rap verses, and electrifying high notes, the song delivers a bold statement of determination. Immediately after release, it climbed to the top of major Japanese streaming charts including iTunes, AWA, and Rakuten Music, drawing enthusiastic responses from local listeners.

Even before their official Japanese debut, BABYMONSTER had already established a strong foothold in the country through an exceptional streak of achievements — dominating digital charts, appearing on national TV music programs, gracing major magazine covers, performing at large-scale music festivals, and securing multiple brand endorsements. Their continued influence reaffirms their status as a leading 5th-generation K-pop girl group.

Earlier this year, the group drew 150,000 attendees through their “2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN,” setting a record for the highest audience turnout in the shortest time for a K-pop girl group. Fueled by overwhelming fan support, they are set to return with a new fan concert series, “BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] JAPAN FAN CONCERT 2025.”

The fan tour will kick off at Chiba LaLa Arena Tokyo Bay on November 15–16, followed by shows at Aichi Nagoya IG Arena on November 22–23, Tokyo Ariake Arena on December 2–3, and Hyogo Ziraion Arena Kobe on December 6–7, giving fans across four cities another chance to connect with the powerhouse rookie group.
