An idol’s day is far longer than fans imagine. That is why the Set Log recently shared by aespa’s KARINA has become a hot topic online. As her 19-hour workday hidden behind the glamorous stage was revealed, not only fans but also the general public could not hide their surprise.
Set Log is an application that automatically records videos of about two seconds every hour, allowing users to leave their day in a timeline format. As it captures everyday life as it is without separate editing, it has quickly spread among younger generations. For idol fans, it has become content that offers the closest look at behind-the-scenes daily life that is usually hard to see, and the fact that one can follow an idol’s entire day in chronological order is also drawing interest from the general public beyond fans.
KARINA’s day in the Set Log begins with waking up at 2:54 AM. Less than 30 minutes later, she left home and began hair and makeup at 4 AM. After finishing styling and completing a music show pre-recording, she briefly returned home only at 8 AM, but by 2 PM, she was heading back to the broadcasting station. Script reading, the live broadcast stage, post-stage care, dinner, and personal practice followed. The time when all schedules ended was 10 PM. It was a day that lasted more than 19 hours from waking up to returning home.
Even so, KARINA has been sharing this entire process with fans every day through Set Log for two weeks. In between a schedule that would be exhausting, she continued to leave records for the camera. Fans expressed deep gratitude for KARINA’s heart in willingly sharing her demanding day, saying, “I’m so touched that she takes the time to film and send these even though she’s this busy.” Some also sent worried reactions, asking, “When does she even rest?”
KARINA’s appearance of not letting go of communication with fans even during a 19-hour day remained in many people’s hearts just as much as her glamorous stage.
aespa will make their full-fledged comeback with the release of their 2nd studio album ‘LEMONADE’ on May 29.
