EPEX BAEKSENG shared the team’s goals and determination as the group marks its 5th debut anniversary.

EPEX held a showcase at SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong on the 9th to commemorate the release of its 7th mini album ‘SoHwa (韶華) : Epilogue.’ On this day, BAEKSENG said, “I think it will be enough just to show ourselves developing at our own pace.”

Regarding their goals, BAEKSENG said, “Of course, it would be good to set big goals in terms of results,” adding, “But we think moving forward at our own pace is the best result for us, so I think it will be enough just to show ourselves developing more at our own pace without getting tired or stopping.” A-MIN said, “If we show many good sides of ourselves through this album, I am hoping we may be able to stand on an awards ceremony stage.” YEWANG said, “Through this promotion, I want to gain a lot of inspiration for our next album based on what I feel,” adding, “I think we need experiences that will help us make up for the parts we lacked and release a more perfect song with our next album.”

When asked how they overcame difficult moments over the past five years, YEWANG said, “When I thought things were so difficult that I could not overcome them, I overcame them by imagining the future together with the members,” adding, “We overcame it by thinking about a better future than the current situation, in the sense that we still have a lot of time ahead of us and that we should unfold our stories more within that time.” WISH said, “When things were hard, we kept ending up saying negative things among ourselves,” adding, “At a time when even thinking positively would not be enough, negative thoughts are not productive, so we came to the conclusion that we should change our thoughts and perspectives, and these days, we are setting our minds positively.”

When asked about joyful moments, AYDEN said, “When we perform,” adding, “It was so fun to communicate with fans and sing along together.” A-MIN added, “We recently did busking, and although it was our first performance in a while, both the fans and we had a lot of fun enjoying it.”

As a closing remark, WISH said, “There are so many things we have learned and felt over the past five years,” adding, “We will use those things as nourishment and become an EPEX that grows even more.” A-MIN said, “As we have spent five years together, our unity has become stronger, and each member’s skills and confidence have grown a lot, so I would be grateful if you enjoy this album while focusing on those aspects.” AYDEN said, “I am someone with a lot of ambition and rather low self-esteem, so I had many concerns over the past 11 months, but we prepared thoroughly to show a great side of ourselves, so please give us lots of love and interest.” YEWANG added, “As this is the final epilogue album of our youth series, we included many of our stories, so I would be grateful if you could listen to it at least once on your way home from work or before going to bed.”

EPEX, which debuted in June 2021, has built a solid worldview by continuing its own original album series. At the Hanteo Music Awards, the group has been recognized for its steady growth, starting with the Rookie Award in 2021, followed by the Emerging Artist Award in 2022 and the Post Generation Award in 2024.

This 7th mini album ‘SoHwa (韶華) : Epilogue’ is an epilogue album that marks the finale of the youth series, which has continued through a total of three full-length albums since 2024. It contains a total of four tracks, including the title track ‘ECHO,’ and all members personally participated not only in writing lyrics and composing, but also in styling, choreography, directing, and the overall album production process, melting the group’s own color into the album.

EPEX’s 7th mini album ‘SoHwa (韶華) : Epilogue’ will be released through various online music sites at 6 PM on this day. Attention is focused on what new chapter EPEX, which has come to put the final period on its youth series themselves as it marks its 5th debut anniversary, will open with this album.
