YERIN, a member of girl group GFRIEND, shared her thoughts on making a solo comeback after a long time, saying, “I am very nervous.”

YERIN held a showcase at Hongdae Rolling Hall in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 9th to commemorate the release of her 4th solo mini album 'REACH YOU' and officially announced her comeback.

On this day, YERIN introduced the first track, saying, “It is a mini album after a long time, and I am very nervous,” adding, “The first B-side track 'Polaris' is fitting as a song that opens the beginning.” She further explained, “It means a new starting point where I will move forward without wavering, like the North Star.”

Regarding the title track 'Shooting Star,' she explained, “It is a J-POP-style song and a hopeful song,” adding, “I think it would be good if you listen to the fireworks sound in the latter half.”

YERIN also expressed confidence, saying, “For these songs, I worked hard to express emotions calmly without mixing in any special vocal techniques,” adding, “I think people will be able to feel that YERIN has grown a step further in terms of tone and vocals.”

'REACH YOU' is an album that captures a new journey that begins from the moment of waking up from a dream. It contains a total of five tracks, including the title track 'Shooting Star,' as well as 'Polaris,' 'Spring Fever,' 'Orbit,' and the instrumental version of 'Shooting Star.'

This album is YERIN’s first new release in about nine months since her digital single 'Awake,' released in September last year. YERIN debuted as a member of GFRIEND in 2015 and began her solo activities in 2022. With songs such as 'ARIA,' 'Bambambam,' and 'Wavy,' she has received love from fans by showing her own musical color, distinct from her group activities.

'Shooting Star' is a song that depicts the moment of recalling a dream under the night sky encountered in the midst of fast-flowing daily life. YERIN’s plainspoken vocals are said to naturally blend with the emotional band sound. The song calmly conveys glittering starlight that seems about to pour down, a small certainty that blooms within it, and a wish toward someone one wants to reach.
