[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] Hearts2Hearts JIWOO shared her ambition to carry on SM’s summer song lineage.

Hearts2Hearts held a media showcase at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall on the 22nd to commemorate the release of its 2nd mini album ‘Lemon Tang.’ On this day, JIWOO said, “As much as we enjoy listening to SM sunbaenims’ music, it would be such an honor and joy if our ‘Lemon Tang’ could also continue the lineage of our sunbaenims.”

JIWOO said, “‘Lemon Tang’ has a special charm in that it emphasizes the meaning of ‘together with us,’ which we always want to convey through our music, over a cool and refreshing melody,” adding, “Since there is a lyric that says, ‘we beat it all, summer heart,’ I hope everyone can overcome this summer’s heat together with Hearts2Hearts.” IAN added, “If we can continue the lineage of SM sunbaenims’ summer songs, I would be truly, truly grateful and so, so happy,” adding, “All the members prepared really hard together, so I hope you look forward to this performance and song a lot.”

Regarding the B-side track ‘15-LOVE,’ IAN introduced it by saying, “Fifteen love refers to the situation in a tennis match where one side has scored the first point,” adding, “It is a song that captures the excitement and fluttering feelings felt between two people.” CARMEN said, “It is a song with a lot of sing-along parts, so we recorded a lot of sing-alongs,” adding, “Since we were all shouting together inside the booth, it was a bit embarrassing, but it was fun.” She added, “I remember feeling proud because we received feedback that all of our skills had improved over the year since debut.”

Regarding the B-side track ‘heart emoji (♡),’ JUEUN said, “The lyrics express a one-sided love where you want to peek at the other person’s heart through a heart emoji,” adding, “Since the title is ‘heart emoji,’ I also worked hard to bring out a cute feeling while recording.” YE-ON said, “In the front and back parts of the song, there is a ‘what’ part, and our eldest members CARMEN unnie and JIWOO unnie recorded it. I think it came out really refreshingly, and thanks to that, I came to like this song even more.”

Regarding the music video, STELLA introduced it by saying, “The music video contains a fun story where the members go on a school trip and witness an accident involving a lemon truck, then follow the lemons that fell from it and play in various places.” IAN said, “The filming location for this music video was Okinawa, and because it was our first overseas location shoot, all the members filmed while feeling very nervous but also excited,” adding, “There is also a story where YE-ON falls for a boy driving a lemon truck, so I hope you pay attention to that acting as well.”

Regarding behind-the-scenes stories from filming, YE-ON said, “There are many scenes where I act in this music video, and it was a very new challenge and a good experience for me as well.” CARMEN said, “The weather was not very good on the first and second days, but we encouraged each other and were able to wrap up the filming well,” adding, “On the third day, the weather suddenly cleared up and became really bright, so I think the colors in the music video came out very, very beautifully.”

Regarding the stage outfits, JIWOO said, “These are the outfits we wore on the bus while going on a school trip in the music video as well, and we tried to show a concept like carrying bags when going on a school trip,” adding, “It was our first time performing on stage while wearing bags, so there were parts where our hands could get caught, but we tried to be careful so that would not happen as much as possible.”

Hearts2Hearts, which debuted in February 2025, is a group that surprised the K-POP scene with growth unlike that of a rookie. After being recognized for its potential by winning the Rookie Award at the 33rd Hanteo Music Awards 2025, the group achieved major records in its first year since debut, including winning five music show trophies with the single ‘RUDE!’ released that same month and surpassing 100 million views with its first music video.

This 2nd mini album ‘Lemon Tang’ is a work that captures Hearts2Hearts’ fresh and refreshing charm, just like the album title, which combines the sour “Lemon” with “Tang,” meaning a sharp taste and scent. It contains a total of six tracks, including the title track of the same name.

Hearts2Hearts’ 2nd mini album ‘Lemon Tang’ will be released through various online music sites at 6 PM on this day. Attention is focused on whether Hearts2Hearts, which swept the first half of the year with ‘RUDE!,’ will be able to take over this summer as well with this album.
