Singer WONHO came back with further grown music.

 

WONHO released his 2nd Single ‘Bittersweet’ on the 14th and is meeting fans around the world. ‘Bittersweet’ is a new single that was released about four months after WONHO’s 3rd Mini Album ‘Facade’ in June and has greater significance as it contains WONHO’s gratitude and love for fans.

 

WONHO’s new single ‘Bittersweet’ includes 2 songs that WONHO’s deeper music color can be checked, which are the title track ‘Don't Regret,’ featuring an ear-catching funk sound, trendy and veteran sound editing with WONHO’s energetic vocals in the chorus as well as the b-side track ‘On & On,’ a dance song that features sexy kissing of vocals, heavy bass, and instruments, supported by YUNHWAY’s featuring.

 

WONHO delivered the question and answer about the new Single ‘Bittersweet’ through the agency Highline Entertainment.

 

Q. How do you feel about the comeback with the new Single ‘Bittersweet’ in 4 months?

 

A. This 2nd Single ‘Bittersweet’ is a more meaningful album with a message that the fans and I are always together. I always make an album thinking about my fans, but I also worked hard on this album, hoping that my heart would reach better to the people I love. I hope everyone who listens to this album will have the mind not to regret the past.

 

Q. Is there a reason why you decided the album name to be ‘Bittersweet’ or a behind story about it?

 

A. Because all of the memories we’ve experienced thus far have been bitter and sweet, I chose to name the album ‘Bittersweet,’ which I thought went well with the concept of bitterness, sweetness, joy, and sadness.

 

Q. Please introduce what song the title track ‘Don’t Regret’ is.

 

A. ‘Don't Regret’ is a song about ‘For this moment together, the past remains beautiful.’ It’s a tribute song dedicated to people who don’t regret all the time that passed by and to myself, and I think it’s a song where you can feel my heart of mine toward the people I love.

 

Q. You have participated in songwriting, composing, and producing on both of the 2 songs in this album, what was the main focus when you were working on it?

 

A. I have contained the honest story I wanted to tell to my fans and the public. It can be said that it’s a trendy album that people can listen to it comfortably as a new trial.

 

Q. What are your favorite lyrics in ‘Don’t Regret,’ and why?

 

A. It’s the part of ‘My answer remains the same.’ Because this part is the sentence like a promise that I will not change, I am always the same regardless of who I like.

 

Q. What would be the keyword representing this album? And why?

 

A. I think it’s the ‘Bittersweet’ itself. I think many people think that ‘Don't Regret’ is a sad song when they first listen to it, but if you look closely at the lyrics, it’s a solid song that tells you that you won't regret it because all of the hard times and hurt emotions are a beautiful memory now.

 

Q. You have expressed various emotional transformations in the title track ‘Don’t Regret’ music video, what was the difficult part of it?

 

A. I have gained confidence and experience in acting through the musical ‘Equal,’ so I enjoyed filming it without any difficulties.  

 

Q. YUNHWAY participated in featuring ‘On & On,’ what kind of relationship are you guys, and is there an artist you want to collaborate with in the future?

 

A. I contacted her right away because I worked on this song with YUNHWAY in mind from the beginning of making this song, and YUNHWAY willingly agreed to it, so it was a good time to work on it quickly.

 

Q. Is there a resolution for this album and a goal you want to achieve?

 

A. Since it’s an album with features that I’m first showing to our fans, I’m worried and excited about how they’ll like it. Through this album, I hope people can fully feel my deep emotions and music color. I want to remain as an artist with no limits who is not bound by genres and concepts and can show my own music.

A. This album is filled with stories that I wanted to tell WENEE. I hope WENEE can love all the time we’ve gone through together without regret. I’ll always be by WENEE’s side, so please listen to this album a lot and love it.
