This is not a renewal of her prime. TWICE JEONGYEON’s golden era begins now. Her strengthened mentality after overcoming pain, the outpouring support, and the buzz brought by her regained visuals are expected to create overwhelming synergy.
Public interest in JEONGYEON began with airport photos taken on the 24th of last month. JEONGYEON appeared at Gimpo Airport to attend an overseas schedule looking healthy after noticeably losing weight, and this image became a hot topic across various SNS platforms, recording millions of views.
Since then, attention has continued as JEONGYEON’s recovered health and beauty were repeatedly captured in TWICE concert scenes and photos uploaded to her own SNS.
The public response toward JEONGYEON is simple. The sense of stability from her recovered health, her even clearer visuals, and her revived presence across the stage, airport, and SNS all came together at one point, creating explosive impact.
What is especially decisive is that this is not simple interest, but interest mixed with voices of support. In 2020, JEONGYEON temporarily halted activities after experiencing severe psychological tension and anxiety, and in 2021, she once again took time to recover due to symptoms of panic and psychological anxiety disorder. At the time, her agency explained, “Taking into consideration the opinion of a professional medical institution and the artist’s health condition as the top priority, rest is necessary.”
Accordingly, the heated attention is also the result of support and relief from those who watched her long hiatus and recovery process.
Having regained her health, JEONGYEON is expected to enter her ‘prime.’ She will continue TWICE’s world tour in cities including Paris, France; Turin, Italy; Berlin, Germany; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and London, the United Kingdom, and will also communicate with the public through tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block.’
It also appears that fans may be able to see her as an actress. Recently, the team behind the film New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital (2026) (directed by Min Jin-ki) shared an official statement with multiple media outlets, saying, “We offered JEONGYEON the role of a nursing officer in the film, and both sides are currently reviewing it positively.”
