tripleS returned with a full-group album and captured the sincerity of all 24 members.

tripleS held a showcase at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall on the 1st to commemorate the release of its full-group album ASSEMBLE26 'LOVE & POP' Part 1 'LOVE' and shared stories about the new album.

tripleS, which debuted in February 2023, is a group of 24 members that has built a unique narrative by moving between units and the full group. After recording initial chodong sales of 41,710 copies with its 1st full-group album 'ASSEMBLE,' the group went on to record 152,335 copies with 'ASSEMBLE24' and 516,626 copies with 'ASSEMBLE25,' proving its rapid growth by breaking its initial chodong sales record every time it released a full-group album. This full-group album, ASSEMBLE26 'LOVE & POP' Part 1 'LOVE,' carries a message of empathy, comfort, and solidarity for girls who live on without having yet discovered their own potential. It contains a total of seven tracks, including the title track 'Baby Flower,' and member PARK SOHYUN personally participated in working on the B-side track 'Sleek,' adding to the group’s musical capabilities.

Regarding the title track 'Baby Flower,' DAHYUN introduced it as “a song that tells young girls going through growing pains that we know and understand all the pain you have, so let’s bloom together like flowers.” YOOYEON said, “I think it may be the brightest lalala among all the lalalas that have been released as title tracks so far,” adding, “‘Lalala’ is actually a very easy lyric, and I think it contains our idea of wanting to make music that everyone can enjoy together and easily feel.” SEOYEON said, “We always try to include a message and sincerity that we can deliver when all 24 of us are together,” adding, “I hope the earnestness and sincerity of the 24 girls will reach many people.”

The members also explained the album’s message themselves. SEOYEON said, “If we are the big s, we call girls who have not yet discovered their potential the small s,” adding, “This album was prepared to deliver courage to the small s who live on without losing their dreams despite wounds and hardships.” JIYEON, who is serving as the leader for this promotion, said, “Because all of us also had times when we were small s, we came to pay even more attention to this album.” SOHYUN said, “This time, I thought that if we came out with a song that could truly touch fans’ hearts, like Girls Never Die, we would be able to continue promoting for a long time while imprinting our name,” adding, “So we approached it with even more determination.” SEOAH said, “This concept has a slightly different feel from the concepts tripleS has shown so far, so I think the members prepared with a lot of concern and excitement, and with even more determination and earnestness.”

DAHYUN, who said she cried after receiving the song, recalled, “Recently, I had been feeling a lot like I was stuck and unable to find my direction, so there was a time when I was very disappointed in myself,” adding, “I first received 'Baby Flower,' and when I saw the lyrics, I teared up without realizing it.” She added, “When I saw the lyrics for my part, ‘Even if I freeze, I will bloom,’ I came to feel that I should get back up once again.” She also revealed the process of preparing for the high vocal range. DAHYUN said, “The members stayed behind, played the song, and practiced while running so our breathing would not shake,” adding, “We prepared by running three laps at a time, like around a field, while singing the song.” JIWOO said, “This title track has the highest note among all the parts I have received so far, so I was very worried, but thanks to DAHYUN helping me so much, all 24 of us were able to complete the recording safely and well.”

The music video was filmed in four cities across Asia. MAYU introduced it by saying, “The moon members captured Thailand, the sun members captured Japan, the neptune members captured Taipei, and the zenith members captured Seoul.” SEOLLIN, who is from Thailand, shared her thoughts, saying, “Filming with the members in my hometown felt like a trip.” Regarding the reason they filmed in four cities, MAYU explained, “We wanted to convey our hearts not only to Seoul, but also to girls across Asia who have the same worries.”

The members also continued to introduce the B-side tracks. JIWOO introduced the first track, 'Sad Girls Schemin',' saying, “It is a song that carries the meaning of sad girls plotting together, and it expresses the emotions of girls going through puberty who share secret stories but eventually dance, play, and become a complete mess.” YOOYEON explained of the second track, 'Peer,' “Along with the meaning of a peer, it also has a connection as the next track where flowers bloom when pronounced in Korean.” Regarding her work on the B-side track 'Sleek,' SOHYUN said, “I wrote it while imagining the image of a model a lot in my head,” adding, “I distributed the parts and wrote the lyrics according to the members’ tendencies and personalities.”

It was also revealed that this album is composed of a total of three parts. YEONJI explained, “This album is the beginning as the LOVE side, and after continuing with the & side in the second half of this year, we plan to present the POP side through a Japanese album in January next year.” Regarding the group’s goals, YUBIN said, “I hope we can win No. 1 on every music show, perform on many year-end stages, and also receive awards at year-end stages.”
