[Hanteo News = Reporter JUNG JUNHWA] It is time to enjoy “YEONJUN core.”

TOMORROW X TOGETHER YEONJUN’s second mini album, “NO LABELS: PART 02,” will be released today (10th) at 1 p.m. Ahead of this, YEONJUN held a release party at Layer Studio 11 in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 9th, raising the excitement for his comeback.

On this day, YEONJUN arrived at the venue in an ice cream truck and unveiled the performances of new songs “Vanilla” and “Long Way Long Ride,” as well as the title track “Ice Cream,” for the first time. Fans showed an enthusiastic response, singing along to the chorus of the title track that had been revealed in advance through promotional content. With the surprise visit of the TOMORROW X TOGETHER members added to the event, the atmosphere at the venue reached its peak.

The new album is the second story of “NO LABELS,” which shows YEONJUN himself. It contains a total of six tracks, including “Ice Cream,” “Vanilla,” “조금 서툴러도 다시 (Baby Wassup?),” “No More Disco,” “Fxxking Star,” and “Long Way Long Ride.” YEONJUN participated in creating the choreography for the title track and was also credited as a lyricist for two songs, “조금 서툴러도 다시 (Baby Wassup?)” and “Long Way Long Ride,” showing a clearer “YEONJUN core.” If his first mini album, “NO LABELS: PART 01,” released last year, showed his potential as a solo artist, this album reveals a more expanded musical spectrum and a more distinct color.

“Ice Cream” depicts a cool relationship in which two people are sweet to each other but maintain a certain line. Like its title, it is a “YEONJUN-style summer song” that will color this summer with refreshing energy. YEONJUN, who has returned with a new charm, shared a Q&A through his agency BIGHIT MUSIC.

Q. How do you feel about presenting the second “NO LABELS” album?

I felt a lot of pressure, but I prepared it with excitement in every moment. I cannot forget the thrill I felt when I first heard the songs. Like my previous work, “NO LABELS: PART 01,” it is the same in that it shows me as I am, but this time, I wanted to include more diverse music and a more relaxed and chill side of myself.

Q. Please explain the album’s composition and why you chose the title track “Ice Cream.”

Since the title track of my previous album, “Talk to You,” was so powerful, I thought a lot during the process of choosing this title track. I also wondered, “Wouldn’t I need an even stronger impact?” But after finishing the recording, I felt that I had really made the right choice by choosing “Ice Cream” as the title track. It is the song on this album that best reflects my color. I think it is a song that can show both my outer and inner sides.

Q. Were there any episodes from preparing the performance?

I wanted to create choreography that was both cool and intuitive. At the same time, I thought a lot about how to show a picture that was not obvious. I especially think the post-chorus part came out well, so I am looking forward to seeing how people will receive it.

Q. How did you feel about participating in the lyrics for “조금 서툴러도 다시 (Baby Wassup?)” and “Long Way Long Ride”?

For “조금 서툴러도 다시 (Baby Wassup?),” I wrote it relatively naturally while imagining, “How would I approach someone I am interested in?” On the other hand, “Long Way Long Ride” is a song that contains, without filtering, the difficult emotions I was feeling at the time I worked on it. Since I was usually used to hiding my emotions, I remember that it was not easy at first to express them honestly. (Laughs) I am happy that I can present lyrics that contain my thoughts on this album.

Q. What are the listening points of “NO LABELS: PART 02”?

I think all six songs are killing parts, to the point where it is hard to choose just one song. I think it would be even better if you listened to them comfortably in track order. More than anything, through this promotion, I want to enjoy myself and show a side that is truly like me.

Q. What is your goal for this promotion, and do you have a message for MOA?

Rather than setting a grand goal, I hope I can grow one step further. Through this album, I want to become more honest with myself and become someone who is more truly like me. Above all, thank you to MOA for waiting for me for so long. I hope “NO LABELS: PART 02” becomes music that you can listen to and enjoy comfortably. I am always grateful, and I love you. <End>
