[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] ENHYPEN leader JUNGWON opened up about questions regarding contract renewal.

ENHYPEN held a press conference for the release of its 8th mini album 'THE SIN : BLISS' at the Grand Ballroom of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon on the 20th. On this day, JUNGWON said, “Regarding contract renewal, there have not yet been any specific discussions.”

JUNGWON said, “We will try to make sure there can be a good result for the fans.” Regarding the time of the group’s reorganization into a six-member system, he said, “Two to three days after the team reorganization, we had a performance in Australia right away,” adding, “Since fans judge us by how we look on stage, I think we kept thinking only about how we could show a good stage as professionally as possible.” He added, “Even after the Australia performance, we continued working on the album.”

As this is the group’s first album since reorganizing as six members, JUNGWON said, “What we always thought of as the top priority was the result,” adding, “From the recording stage, rather than focusing on the number of members, we focused on how to make the result come out well as we prepared.” He continued, “In any situation, we thought of the stage and performance as the top priority,” adding, “Starting with the Seoul concert in May, through the North and South America tour and Busan, we were able to receive so much energy from ENGENE, and thanks to that energy, we were able to prepare hard for this comeback.”

Regarding the direction after rebranding, he said, “Even before the rebranding, there was the keyword of connection,” adding, “We had talked about various connections through music, and through this rebranding, we carried out activities that connected us with various people through blood donation, in addition to music and stages.” He added, “Going forward, we want to do more activities through which we can have a positive influence as ENHYPEN.”

They also shared their goals for this promotion. JAKE said, “After finishing our first Latin America performances, we also became the first K-POP artist to attend Comic-Con in San Diego,” adding, “Since we achieved many good results over the past few months, we prepared for this comeback with a lot of anticipation as well, and our goal is to wrap up 2026 well.” He continued, “We also have a dome tour scheduled in Japan, and our goal is to perform on even bigger stages,” adding, “As long as ENGENE are there, we want to go and perform anytime, and personally, I am also hoping for good results in digital music performance and on the Billboard charts.”

Asked about what sets ENHYPEN apart in August, when major boy groups such as BIGBANG, Stray Kids, and NCT 127 are making consecutive comebacks, JUNGWON said, “As both a player in K-POP and a big fan of it, it is an honor to be able to promote alongside great seniors,” adding, “Our strength is that we have many mediums people can immerse themselves in, such as the animation that deals with our DARK MOON worldview.” He continued, “This album is also a concept album, so if you listen to it in order from track one, you can be immersed as if you are watching a musical or listening to the radio. I think that is our point of difference.”

Their confidence in the new album was also exceptional. NI-KI said, “Because the preparation period was long, we prepared with determination, so we were confident,” adding, “The title track has a sound that is trendy these days, but it is a genre we are trying for the first time, so I thought ENGENE would be able to feel both trendiness and freshness at the same time.”

Regarding what he newly learned while preparing the album, JAY said, “While carrying out many stages and schedules, I felt that our members had grown a lot in many areas,” adding, “Even though I already knew that ENHYPEN was originally a strong team, seeing us carry out many stages on various big stages with an even more solid and bold presence made me think that our team is an icon of growth.”

ENHYPEN, which debuted in 2020, has solidified its position as a “top global group” with a steep upward trajectory. At the 33rd Hanteo Music Awards 2025, the group won the Grand Prize in the performance category, proving its unrivaled stage power. With its 7th mini album 'THE SIN : VANISH,' released in January, ENHYPEN recorded initial chodong sales of 2,075,056 copies, achieving its fourth double million-seller in the team’s career, and also ranked No. 1 in both the Album and World categories on Hanteo Chart’s January monthly chart.

The 8th mini album 'THE SIN : BLISS' is the second work in the 'THE SIN' series, which is motivated by sin, and is a concept album that deals with the end of the journey faced by lovers who break a taboo and choose to flee. The title track 'Bloody Paradise' is based on the Brazilian funk genre and captures a sense of liberation that blooms in a desperate situation.

ENHYPEN’s 8th mini album 'THE SIN : BLISS' will be released at 1 PM on the 21st. Attention is focused on what records ENHYPEN, which achieved a double million-seller with its previous work, will write with this album.
