ONF held a showcase at Cube Convention Center on the 17th to commemorate the release of the 2nd part of its 2nd full-length album ‘ONF:MY SELF.’ On this day, WYATT said, “When I heard this song, I thought it could become the second 'Bye My Monster.'”

 

WYATT introduced 'Open The Door' as “a song that captures the emotions of the fleeting moment when we open the door to an unseen future from an anxious present,” adding, “I think many people may also be able to gain hope to open a door while listening to this song.” He added, “I thought this could be heard as a song that is like the standard of K-POP.”

 

When asked about the song’s charm, SEUNGJUN said, “It is refreshing yet sorrowful, and when I listened to it today, I felt a lot of sadness as well,” adding, “Because it is a song filled with so many emotions, people can listen to it in truly various ways depending on the situation.” E-TION said, “I think when you feel anxious about the future, you may gain courage by listening to this song,” adding, “I think you will gain great strength and energy if you listen to it when you are changing jobs or need courage.”

 

Regarding the listening points, MINKYUN said, “The content contained in the lyrics is the listening point,” adding, “The part in the very last outro where we all sing together is also the killing part.” U said, “Since the song is 'Open The Door,' there are also movements that look like knocking on a door, and I would be grateful if you also pay attention to the formations that look as if we are all opening a door together.”

 

HYOJIN introduced the album by saying, “The titles of the full-length album continue from MY NAME to MY IDENTITY and MY SELF, and in this Part 2 album, we included the meaning of wanting to express ourselves as we are. It is an album that deals most honestly with ONF’s present.”

 

WYATT, who participated in writing the lyrics, said, “When I wrote the lyrics, I wanted to depict situations of concern about an unseen future,” adding, “I wrote them with the meaning that I hope many people will also see a hopeful future through this and feel comforted.” E-TION said, “I think that if we live hard in the present, those things will build up and become a good future,” adding, “I am looking forward to a good future because I think if we live day by day, a good future will be created.”

 

As a comeback remark, SEUNGJUN said, “I think we worried a lot about how to show ourselves better,” adding, “I am also very excited to show many people what we have created like this.” MINKYUN said, “I am truly grateful that we were able to release our 2nd full-length album,” adding, “I am also so grateful to FUSE, who waited for us for a long time, and I hope our sincerity reaches many people.”

 

ONF, which debuted in August 2017, has built a distinctive musical world with unique music and powerful performances through songs such as 'We Must Love,' 'Beautiful Beautiful,' and 'Moscow Moscow,' earning the modifier “a trusted source of great songs.” With Part 1 of its 2nd full-length album, 'ONF: MY IDENTITY,' released in February last year, the group recorded 111,789 copies in initial chodong sales, breaking its own initial chodong record. With the title track 'The Stranger,' ONF achieved its first No. 1 on a terrestrial music show on KBS2’s Music Bank, while the music video surpassed 10 million views in just two days after release, continuing meaningful achievements.

 

This 2nd part of ONF’s 2nd full-length album, 'ONF:MY SELF,' continues the narrative of Part 1 and contains a story of choosing oneself at the end of a journey. It includes a total of six tracks, including the title track 'Open The Door,' and captures ONF’s unique identity, with leader SEUNGJUN participating in the overall album planning, U in performance directing, and WYATT and MINKYUN in writing lyrics and composing.
