[Hanteo News = Reporter JUNG JUNHWA] Hanteo Global, led by CEO Kwak Young Ho and known for its credibility in real-time K-POP big data charts, is joining hands with Bungaejangter, a recommerce platform leading K-global K-POP fandom culture and taste-based transactions, to build a new kind of indicator that analyzes trends in the K-POP industry from multiple angles.
Hanteo Global announced on the 2nd, “We have signed a strategic partnership with Bungaejangter for K-POP data linkage and the revitalization of related industries, and based on this, we will advance and unveil Hanteo Chart’s new service, the ‘HANTEO TREND CHART.’”
Bungaejangter, co-led by CEOs Kang Seunghyun and Choi Jaehwa, is Korea’s leading tech recommerce platform used by global users and a K-culture commerce hub that has established itself at the center of taste-based transactions among K-POP fandoms around the world.
This partnership was promoted to organically combine Hanteo Global’s long-accumulated global chart operation capabilities and patent-based authentication analysis technology with the vast K-POP fandom real transaction data accumulated by Bungaejangter. Hanteo Global recognizes Bungaejangter’s real transaction data as meaningful “user data” that can read vivid changes in fandom behavior, and plans to use it as one of the key drivers for refining its charts.
The newly unveiled ‘Hanteo Trend Chart’ is a new-concept chart that goes beyond traditional post-result indicators such as album sales and digital music performance, and captures in a multidimensional way the “current consumption and behavior changes” through which fandoms actually move.
In particular, the chart is designed to reflect Bungaejangter’s real transaction data as a key indicator, while also integrating it with Hanteo Chart’s existing proprietary big data system, including albums, digital music, portals, social, and global authentication. Through this, it has become possible to read the most objective and comprehensive early signals of the K-POP market without being biased toward any single specific indicator.
Through this partnership, Hanteo Global plans to provide agencies with insights into realistic market responses from fandoms, and media and distribution industries with an advanced benchmark that can explain the flow of K-POP-related industries. Bungaejangter has also created an opportunity to further enhance the value of K-POP data within its platform through Hanteo Chart’s global credibility and precise data refinement technology.
